Terms & Conditions
The rental agreement, in plain language.

Eligibility
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Valid Indian Driving License with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Mandatory KYC: Aadhaar, PAN, and Address Proof.
- Foreign nationals: International Driving Permit + Passport.

Booking & Payment
- Booking is confirmed only after advance payment.
- Rates are based on hourly, daily, or monthly plans.
- ChaloCar reserves the right to cancel bookings for invalid documents or incomplete payment.

Vehicle Usage
- Cars are strictly for personal use as per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
- The customer is responsible for compliance with all traffic laws.
- Rash driving, drunk driving, or overspeeding will attract penalties and immediate termination of the booking.

Kilometres & Fuel
- Each plan includes a free kilometre limit; extra kms are charged at ₹25/km.
- Fuel is the customer's responsibility — return with the same fuel level as at handover.

Pickup & Drop
- Pickup and drop available at ChaloCar hubs or at the customer's address (₹25/km extra).
- Late returns are billed as overtime as per the applicable plan.

Damage, Insurance & Liability
- The customer is responsible for the vehicle from handover until return.
- In case of accident, theft, or damage, the customer bears all charges not covered by insurance.
- No smoking, hazardous goods, or pets inside the vehicle unless expressly approved.

Refunds & Cancellations
- Cancellation before pickup: charges apply as per the Fee & Refund Policy.
- No refunds for early returns.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

Documents & Verification
- By booking, you consent to e-KYC verification under the IT Act, 2000.
- Submission of fake or tampered documents will lead to cancellation and legal action.

Company Rights
- ChaloCar may cancel or refuse any booking at its sole discretion.
- These terms may be updated without prior notice; the latest version will always be on this page.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- Governed by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and other applicable Indian laws.
- Courts in Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- Force Majeure events (natural disasters, riots, etc.) apply.
